The Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS) Programme is a five-day professional training course delivered by HewardMills and accredited by the Ghana Data Protection Commission (DPC).
Built around Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), it combines legal and governance principles with real-world scenarios and practical exercises to help you apply data protection requirements in your day-to-day role.

Do I need a legal background?
No. The programme is designed for people in governance, legal, compliance, risk, information security, audit and records management, as well as business leaders and law students and graduates.

Is the course just exam preparation?
No. It includes revision support and assessment preparation, but the focus is on practical skills: how compliance works in real organisations and how a Data Protection Supervisor supports privacy governance.
What happens if I don't pass the assessment first time?
HewardMills will give reasonable guidance on revision resources and preparing for a subsequent assessment. Any additional training or one-to-one support is subject to HewardMills’ applicable terms.
What support is available after the course?
Depending on your package, this can include a CDPS implementation toolkit, templates and checklists, periodic virtual CDPS clinics, regulatory updates and selected HewardMills learning resources. Your package details are confirmed at registration.
